Sandbag Locations Across Pinellas County

With hurricane Idalia on the way at (as of the time of writing this) a Category 3, you need to prepare. If you’re looking for sandbags, there are a few locations in Pinellas, and other counties if you need them. Find the full list here.

The City of St. Petersburg offers free sandbags for residents all year long, five days per week during non-emergencies, at the Pavement and Traffic Operations Building (1744 9th Ave. N.). This location will closed during a declared emergency.

Due to the tropical activity this week, sandbags will be issued at the following locations. These locations may open earlier depending on direction and/or tidal conditions.

Each household receives a maximum of 10 sandbags; Staff will be on hand to assist seniors and others who may be unable to fill and load their own sandbags; Residents must provide proof of residence (such as a driver’s license) to receive sandbags.
